next Louis Hardin ![]() Pseudonym: Moondog The blind American composer, famous for his unusual ‘popular-classical’ works, is actually names Louis Hardin (1916–1999). He explained, ‘I began using Moondog as a pen name in 1947, in honour of a dog I had in Hurley, who used to howl at the moon more than any dog I knew of.’ Source: Room, A.
